And six of the most innovative products on display at the National Hardware Show.

You have developed a fantastic new hardware item and are prepared to introduce it to the world. With inventory ready and a website live, you are eager to begin sales. Now, you might be asking: Where is the ideal location to meet potential buyers? Trade shows are a great option.

If you are just getting started, the National Hardware Show (NHS) in Las Vegas is the place to be. I spent time walking the floor there last week searching for fresh concepts, and I was certainly not alone—buyers were present as well. One specific area dedicated to new product innovation stood out. Sponsored by the United Inventors Association (UIA), it was titled NEXT, and the atmosphere was buzzing with energy. I spent my entire day there because it was filled with a multitude of impressive new products.

“Not only is NEXT the most exciting area of the show, it is certainly the busiest,” confirmed Carmine Denisco, president of the UIA.

Here are some of my favorites:

Hammerhead Snow Shovel. If you reside in a region with heavy snowfall, you are familiar with the difficulty of breaking through ice while clearing your driveway. This innovative shovel includes a serrated blade at the tip, which simplifies the process of cracking ice and clearing a path. I loved it!

HangNailz. Have you ever hung a picture only to find the nail sagging over time? This clever new tool lets you push it into the wall, providing a secure hold for up to 50 pounds with ease. It is simple, smart, and a game-changer for wall decor.

Aerobroom. This two-in-one leaf blower and rake makes tidying up driveways and walkways remarkably simple. It is a highly practical tool for homeowners who prioritize efficiency.

Good Egg. With egg prices on the rise, more people are keeping their own chickens—but cleaning the eggs can be a chore. The original egg brush from Good Egg makes it easy to scrub fresh eggs before you cook them. Brilliant!

Wave Tape. Who hasn’t struggled to locate the end of a roll of tape? Wave Tape addresses that issue with a simple yet effective design, ensuring you can find the end every single time. So smart!

The Caulking Finger. If you have ever performed caulking work, you know how much your thumb can ache. This fun and functional tool makes the task smoother and much easier on your hands. A great idea!

The chance to network and observe how people react to your product in person is unmatched at a trade show.

“New inventors receive invaluable time and expertise from brands, other inventors, buyers, industry leaders, press, social media influencers, and more in person at an industry-leading trade show like NHS,” explained Kathryn Emery, NHS correspondent.

NHS is committed to independent inventors showcasing their innovations in the home improvement and DIY space, she added, describing NEXT as “always a fan favorite.”
