The Nemo Disco Endless Promise 15 is packed with features designed to enhance and personalize comfort through an innovative ventilation system. Its spoon-shaped architecture offers generous room for side sleepers and those who prefer to avoid the restrictive feel of a traditional mummy bag. This spacious design performs reliably in temperatures near freezing. Unfortunately, compared to other down sleeping bags, this is among the heaviest and most voluminous models we evaluated, so we would not suggest carrying it into the backcountry. Nevertheless, if your top priority is comfort, the Disco Endless Promise 15 is worth considering.

The Disco features a unique ventilation system that Nemo calls “gills,” which allows us to vent heat from inside the bag without unzipping the main closure.

The Disco offers plenty of warmth for summer camping thanks to its 650 fill-power down and women’s-specific design. That generous loft, oversized hood, unique ventilation “gills,” and large blanket fold help retain body heat; however, we do not suggest using this bag in temperatures reaching its stated EN comfort rating of 17°F, as the roomy interior can lead to drafts.

There is no questioning the comfort the Disco provides, which is consistent with other Nemo products. The distinctive spoon-shaped design creates extra interior room for those who shift positions during the night. The substantial loft, spacious hood, and blanket fold further enhance comfort, while the bag’s heavier weight provides a secure, tucked-in feeling. Overall, the Disco’s lofty 650 fill-power down construction is cozy for camping near your vehicle or by the river.

Most consumers are willing to pay a premium for a down-filled sleeping bag because it typically offers superior warmth, loft, and comfort at a lower weight; however, the Disco is heavier than most of the down bags we tested.

The packed size is also underwhelming for those looking for a bag versatile enough for mountain trekking. The included storage cube provides better compression when cinched tightly; nevertheless, we still wouldn’t want to carry it very far. The Disco (regular) weighs over 3.31 pounds, and while it is compressible, it remains quite bulky.

The Disco is a more budget-friendly down-filled option, best suited for those who plan to car camp and desire a spacious, comfortable bag that provides adequate warmth without feeling stifling on warmer summer nights. While we appreciate the fully recyclable design, other down bags in our review are lighter for backpacking and offer better warmth for all-season use.

The Nemo Disco is an ideal sleeping bag for those who want a roomy and comfortable interior with specialized features that allow for temperature regulation. That said, we believe the REI Magma 15 is a significantly more versatile option that also offers custom and inclusive sizing to maximize warmth while remaining lightweight and packable. If you are looking for a more affordable down bag that is slightly lighter, consider the Kelty Cosmic Down 20.
