Our Honest Review of POWERADE’s FIFA Trio

Our Honest Review of POWERADE's FIFA Trio

It seems like every brand is launching a FIFA collaboration lately, and POWERADE is joining the trend. This sports drink staple has released three brand-new flavors that are currently hitting store shelves. It has been quite a while since I last ranked the entire POWERADE lineup, so let’s see if these latest additions are worth the hype.

POWERADE Blood Orange Kick <a href="https://shoppixy.com/inside-the-underground-fake-<a href="https://shoppixy.com/an-honest-review-of-dr-pepper-strawberries-cream/” title=”An Honest Review of Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream”>review-trade/” title=”Inside the underground fake review trade”>Review

Pros: I have long maintained that blood orange deserves more recognition as a beverage flavor, and this drink serves as further proof. The sodium levels typical of sports drinks are much less apparent when balanced by a fruit profile that leans toward tart bitterness. If any of these limited-edition soccer-themed releases deserve a permanent spot in the rotation, I hope it is this one.

Cons: The name “Kick” implies a flavor profile that simply isn’t there; this drink is many things, but spicy is not one of them. “Blood Orange Breakaway” would have been a more fitting title, both for the soccer theme and to describe how this flavor distinguishes itself from the existing POWERADE lineup.

POWERADE White Grape Wave Review

Pros: In a market saturated with artificial purple grape options, this new POWERADE is both figuratively and literally refreshing. In terms of intensity, it is noticeably smoother than the tart Blood Orange Kick. Depending on your specific hydration needs, that easy-drinking quality might make White Grape Wave the more attractive choice.

Cons: Some drinkers might find this flavor profile a bit underwhelming. If that describes you, you might want to reconsider how frequently you are overwhelming your taste buds with intense, artificial sweetness.

POWERADE Cold Berry Burst Review

Pros: Much like Sprite Chill, this drink manages to “taste” cold even when it is at room temperature. Given that POWERADE and Sprite Chill are both under the Coca-Cola umbrella, it is not a stretch to assume they share some common DNA. I would even argue that this is a more successful execution of a “Cool Blue” flavor concept than the original.

Cons: While I enjoyed this drink, it is the least memorable of the bunch. After experiencing two fantastic flavors, “good” just doesn’t feel like enough to stand out.
