We Tried Caulipower's New Sweater Weather Pizza At Whole Foods

In the gluten‑free world, constantly testing products to see if they truly work can be exhausting. Even simple pleasures, like seasonal items, become harder to enjoy when many of the popular flavors aren’t available in gluten‑free versions.

Our curiosity was sparked when we spotted a pizza at Whole Foods from Caulipower called Sweater Weather Pizza. It features a cauliflower crust, white sauce, fall squash, a three‑cheese blend, shaved Brussels sprouts and chili crisp. Finally, there’s a seasonal savory option that fits a gluten‑free diet, though such products often fall short. We decided to try it ourselves and share the full rundown in our official Sporked review.

Pros — Cauliflower crusts can be hit or miss in both texture and flavor, often lacking the chewy bite of traditional pizza. This one, however, defied that expectation. The crust was well‑seasoned and delivered an impressive texture: thin and crispy yet thick enough to feel substantial with a pleasant chew. My partner, tasting it blind, couldn’t tell it apart from a conventional thin‑crust frozen pizza.

The toppings were equally satisfying. The white sauce was creamy without the dryness that sometimes plagues cream‑based pizzas, and the squash and chili crisp added a distinctive autumnal note. The pizza was fragrant and packed with rich umami, making it enjoyable even for those who aren’t gluten‑free. I would gladly buy it again.

Cons — While the pizza is nicely seasoned, it could benefit from a light sprinkle of salt to bring the flavors together. The chili crisp provides flavor but lacks a strong kick; those seeking more heat can easily add crushed red pepper flakes or extra chili crisp after baking.
