I have extensive experience reviewing a wide range of <a href="https://shoppixy.com/ageless-beauty-awards-drugstore-beauty-products-that-won-over-editors/” title=”Ageless Beauty Awards: Drugstore Beauty Products That Won Over Editors”>products, from energy drinks and sandwich cookies to various fast-food offerings. However, Crumbl is not a brand I typically cover. I generally only sample these cookies if they align with my usual areas of expertise, such as soda, snack cakes, or gaming-related tie-ins. Rachel Jones is our primary expert on all things Crumbl; she manages the weekly menu updates every Sunday and usually provides a review of at least one new item from the rotation.
Since Crumbl released three new cookies this week, I am stepping in to evaluate the two less prominent options following Rachel’s assessment of the Peanut Butter Cup Blondie Cookie. Let’s determine if the Halloween Sprinkle Cake and Halloween Red Velvet cookies are worth the hype or if they are just a disappointment.
Halloween Sprinkle Cake Crumbl Cookie Review
New Crumbl Cookie!
Pros: If you bring a few of these to a Halloween gathering this weekend, they will certainly be well-received. Crumbl has successfully created a high-quality version of the classic iced sugar cookie topped with sprinkles, even if the concept itself isn’t particularly original.
Cons: It turns out that this week’s Halloween Sprinkle Cake Cookie is simply a black, orange, and white iteration of a cake-inspired cookie that first appeared in June. (Without spoiling too much, the second cookie I am reviewing today is also a minor variation of a recipe from late 2022—calling either of these “new” is a bit of a stretch.)
Halloween Red Velvet Crumbl Cookie Review
New Crumbl Cookie!
Pros: Although Rachel labeled the Peanut Butter Cup Blondie as the “Spookiest” Crumbl Cookie in her article, I would argue that the cookie featuring a mock blood-splatter drizzle is actually more thematic. In terms of Halloween aesthetics, this cookie is the clear winner of the bunch.
While this isn’t the best red velvet cookie I have ever tasted, it meets all the criteria for a solid dessert. Much like the Sprinkle Cake Cookie, it would be a welcome addition to any Halloween party spread. These two cookies are roughly equal in quality; I simply happen to prefer red velvet over a standard iced sugar cookie. If you are deciding between the two, go with your personal preference.
Cons: I would appreciate it if the vanilla cream cheese frosting had a stronger cream cheese flavor; I don’t choose a red velvet treat just to taste vanilla.
What else is on the Crumbl menu this week?
Beyond the Peanut Butter Cup Blondie and the two cookies mentioned above, Crumbl is offering four other varieties, plus a cake. The cookie selection includes Rainbow Shake, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Dirt Cake, and the classic Chocolate Chip (available in both standard and Value Menu sizes). In addition to the seven cookie options, you can also purchase a Cookies & Cream Tres Leches Cake. I plan to try that next to add a bit of excitement to my day after the relative monotony of this review. Check out Rachel’s full report below for all the details on every Crumbl treat available this week.
