We Tried The Halloween Confetti Milkshake Cookie From Crumbl

As Halloween approaches, Crumbl is dedicating this week’s menu to all things spooky. The theme is quite fitting, and the offerings sound particularly delicious. From treats inspired by classic trick-or-treating candies to festive twists on Crumbl staples, there is plenty to anticipate. However, our curiosity always tends to get the <a href="https://shoppixy.com/best-creatine-for-women-uk-2026-our-top-picks-2/” title=”Best Creatine for Women UK 2026: Our Top Picks”>best of us.

This week, we decided to test Crumbl’s Halloween version of their popular Confetti Milkshake Cookie. It features confetti sugar cookie dough rolled in purple and green sprinkles. Once baked, it is finished with cake-flavored buttercream and a small dollop of whipped cream. It is also served chilled to replicate the experience of a milkshake. Let’s dive into whether or not this cookie is worth your time.

Pros — While we often struggle to enjoy many of Crumbl’s offerings, they usually maintain one redeeming quality. Even when Crumbl falls short on flavor execution, they consistently succeed in design. Their cookies are, above all else, visually appealing. This cookie is no exception; it looks great and, more importantly, it fits the theme perfectly. As those familiar with us here at Sporked know, we have a deep appreciation for on-theme treats. This cookie successfully puts us in the Halloween spirit and, quite frankly, prepares us for the possibility of a bland cookie.

Cons — Here is the reality: Crumbl sugar cookies do not fare well in the refrigerator. Because they intentionally underbake their cookies to achieve a gooey consistency, the texture becomes quite unpleasant when chilled. Furthermore, the icing does not hold up well in the cold, as the butter in the frosting solidifies to the point where it breaks off in chunks rather than offering the creamy texture one expects.

Texture issues aside, this cookie lacks any flavor worth noting. It is excessively sweet with nothing to provide balance, resulting in an overall bland experience. I had hoped the frosting would offer more depth, but it ultimately fell flat. The only discernible difference between this and other Crumbl buttercream is that it felt slightly creamier. Otherwise, it is more of the same.
